Meditation
Our perception of the world has much to do with our internal attitude. The process of transforming the inner self begins with the practice of meditation. By learning to stay present and open the mind of our heart - step by step - we can be free from illusions, expectations, ignorance, hope, and fear. Quiet, sitting meditation, is the first step to calm the mind, so we can change afflictive states of being and negative thought patterns. Using the one-pointed consciousness of Shinay meditation, we will train our awareness, to see things as they actually are.
Basic meditation instructions are available in resources. Eliza guides an ongoing virtual meditation group. Next class is April 24, May 29, June 26, 2024. Since we are an international group the timezone break down for class is: 19:00 - 20:15 CET, 18:00 - 19:15 GMT, 13:00 - 14:15 EST, 10:00 - 11:15 PST, 19:00 - 20:15 SAST These virtual classes are based in Kum Nye, Tibetan Healing Yoga and Shamatha Meditation, Calm Abiding Meditation. Ultimately, these practices are inseparable. We will use the powerful, gentle movements and breath from Kum Nye to open up and release blockages and stuck edges, so we can sit, with more ease, and rest our minds. There will be guidance for all of it. You are welcome to sign up session by session or for all 3 at once and then commit to the mini-series. Write here to register.
